This week's recipe is submitted by Wanda Patterson of Minonk. Ground beef casserole3 lbs. ground beef cooked crumbled6 large potatoes, sliced into fairly thin slices 1 large onion cut into chunks 1 can peas 2 cups of milk 1 can cream of chicken soup or mushroom soup either one In a casserole dish start with the potatoes on the bottom, then layer the onions, then the ground beef and then the peas. Then dot with margarine of choice, sprinkle salt , pepper and garlic powder over that. Pour the milk over all, top with the soup of choice, spreading as evenly as possible. Bake covered at 375 for appx. 1 1/2 hours...check potatoes for tenderness to be sure they are done. |
