Another new feature has been added to the MinonkTalk web site. A mapping web page at map02.htm has been created to help locate buildings and sites in Minonk as well as get driving directions to or from Minonk. Instead of going to mapquest, you can do most of your mapping from this web page using Minonk as the home base. For those who are not familiar with internet maps, I suggest clicking on the Help button on the mapping web page to give you instructions on how to use the web page. The mapping web page should help those unfamiliar with Minonk to find a building or a location anywhere in Minonk. The mapping web page uses Google map routines. The location of some of the east-west addresses is not quite on the spot but the north-south addresses are on the money. To those who want to know how to get to Minonk there are maps for driving directions as well as directions for getting somewhere from Minonk.

The mapping enhancements have also been added to the Minonk Township Cemetery web site. When viewing the profile of a burial record, by clicking on a button, an aerial view of the cemetery will be displayed with a red pinpoint located at the burial location. To see an example of this, click on this link. When the web page comes up, click on the "Grave Location Aerial View" button to view where the grave is located. Every attempt will be made to enhance this web site with the latest technology as it emerges. The links to the Minonk mapping page is listed at the left side of the main web page and also is listed under the Reference menu item at the top of the page. I hope everyone enjoys these new features.
