This week's recipe is submitted by Ruth Ann Meierhofer of Minonk. Microwave Caramel Corn1 cup brown sugar1 stick butter or margarine 1\4 cup corn syrup
1\2 teaspoon baking soda
Combine first three ingredients in 2 1\2 quart bowl. Bring to a boil on high for 3 minutes. Stir at least once. Boil again on high for 3 minutes and stir. Add 1\2 teaspoon baking soda, stir to mix well. Pour over 8 qts. popped corn and mix. Put back into microwave on high for 3 minutes, stir every 30 seconds. Spread on waxed paper and let cool. |
