Regent Valerie Horton and Junior American Citizen State Chairman Kenda Bond, members of the Black Partridge Chapter of the National Society of the American Revolution, attended DAR Days recently. The day was filled with many learning experiences and information that will be shared with their chapter. DAR continues to offer many different programs which means there is something for everyone. Members can be involved with programs like American Indians, Community Classrooms, Scholarships, DAR Schools, promotion in literacy programs, historic preservation, commemorative events, conservation, promoting Constitution Week, DAR Museum Outreach, Lineage Research, be a volunteer genealogist, and many other programs are offered.

Our next meeting will be held on October 8th at 1 p.m. at the home of Kenda Bond. Illinois State Regent Gloria Perkins Flathom will be our guest to help the chapter celebrate their 40th anniversary. Our State Regent's program is entitled "Until You Spread Your Wings, You Have No Idea How Far You Can Fly." Black Partridge was organized October 12, 1978 by the late organizing Regent, Mrs. Ray McAdams from Eureka, Illinois.
