The Minonk High School class of 1944 celebrated their 60th class reunion Saturday evening,
July 17, with a dinner at Mona's in Toluca with 19 present. Thirteen were members with their
spouses. No teachers attended.
Letters were received from Ruth(Greskoviak) Cagal of Arlington, Texas, Verna (Meils) Gerdes
of Benson, IL, Rita (Green) Hakes of Minonk, Margaret (Hewitt) Kaczmarck of Willowbrook, IL,
and Lila (Volk) Stith of Streator, IL.
Members who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Joe and Mickey (Phillips) McAdams of Decatur, IL, Mrs. Joan Rowe
of Plano, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Carl and Marjorie (Vogle) Gramhan of McKinney, Texas, Dorothy (Jury) and Eldon Folkerts
of Minonk, Fran and Gladys Manley (both members) of East Peoria, IL, John Zupansic of Streator, IL,
Jim and Joan Meierhofer of Minonk, Virgil and Virginia Volk of Washington, IL, Mr. and Mrs. Shirley
Zivney of Chenoa, IL, Margaret (Rients) Woltzen of Long Point, IL, Alice (Schmidt) Kock of Washburn, IL,
and Bonner Baker of Minonk.
The same committee will help get the next reunion in three years ready. They are Ann M. Land, Jim Meierhofer
and Bonner Baker.
