Fieldcrest Softball/Baseball Practices Starting Dates Announced

The coaches for the Fieldcrest Middle School softball and baseball teams have announced their starting dates and times for the 2018 seasons. Coaches Elizabeth Kay and Laura Lorton will hold their first softball practice on Monday, July 23rd from 9:00-10:30 am at the Wenona City Park diamond. In case of bad weather, the team will meet at the middle school. Their season opener is slated for August 4th.
Baseball practices will begin on Monday, July 30th at the school diamond from 3:00-5:15. Coaches Mark Brown and Mike McKay will begin preparations for an August 11th season debut. A mandatory parents' meeting will be held Wednesday, August 1st at 5:30. Players need to have their glove, a hat, and need to wear long / baseball pants for the first practice. This season, 6th grade boys will be allowed to sign up for the baseball team.
ALL players are reminded that they are required to have current sports physicals turned in before they can practice! Registration on the 8to18 website also needs to be completed prior to practicing.
