Tryouts for the Woodford County Jr. American Legion Baseball Team will be held at Metamora
High School Sunday May 9th from 1 pm until 4 pm. Any current high school baseball player
who will not turn 18 during the season is encouraged to try out. 18 players will be selected and
25 to 30 games will be scheduled.
According to Mike McKay, past experiences has shown that usually less than 18 players show up to tryout.
With summer commitments the team has trouble getting 9 players for some games. If our young
players don't show any interest the team will probably fold up and we will lose the team.
