Jeff Pickard of Wenona was elected president of the Fieldcrest Board of Education at a special meeting on April 7.
Pickard was re-elected to the board in the April 1 election. Pickard replaces Joe Knapp who has been president of
the school board since the Fieldcrest school district was consolidated in 1992. Knapp and Cynthia Bernardi both
decided not to run for the school board after having served on the board since 1989.
Newly elected Melinda Tiraboschi of Toluca and Joe Kirkpatrick of Minonk replace Knapp and Bernardi on the board.
In its first order of business, the board officially moved $540,000 from the district's working cash fund into the
education fund.
The next regular meeting of the board was rescheduled for Tuesday, April 22, at 7:00 p.m. in the Fieldcrest
High School Gymnasium.
