Village-Aires to present "It Might As Well Be Spring"

Let the Village-Aires bring you into spring with their show "It Might As Well Be Spring". They will present the program on Saturday, April 26 at 7 p.m. and again on Sunday, April 27 at 3 p.m. Both performances will be at the Fieldcrest High School Gym. Tickets are $5.00 if purchased ahead of time and are $5.50 if purchased at the door. Ten percent of the money will be going to the "Relay for Life" sponsored by the American Cancer Society. Music scholarships are also available for Jr. and Sr. music students.

Most of the songs will be old favorites such as: "Over the Rainbow," "I'm Looking Over a Four-Leaf Clover," and "Me and My Shadow." Songs such as "It Might As Well Be Spring," "Oh, What a Beautiful Morning," and "Soon Its Gonna Rain" come from familiar musicals. The children will be singing "Peter Cottontail."

The members of the Village-Aires are: Judy Bennington, Leah Brown, Teresa Cirks, Pam Gansch-Boyte, Dawn Geringer, Loretta Hunt, Alice Linn, Shirley Missey, Nancy Redenius, Tiffany Bennington, Debby Cargill, Joan Jochums, Donna Leonard, Marylu Pille, Mike Isham, Jack Jochums, Matt Leman, Dick Leonard, Ron Friese, George Hunt, Ryan Koehler, Don Oesch, Ron Redenius, and Jerry Welch. The director and accompanist is Elaine Cunningham and the program director is Jack Jochums.
