Minonk Youths Sentenced for Damaging City Property

Wednesday March 10, 2004 Posted 2:30 p.m.
On March 5, 2004 James Hausler and Kurt Persic of Minonk were convicted of Criminal Defacement of Property. The two were charged with damaging a picnic table and trees owned by the City of Minonk. Judge John Huschen sentenced James Hausler and Kurt Persic, both of Minonk, to 24 months of court supervision, $200.00 fine plus court cost, $925.00 in restitution and 60 hours of community service. State's Attorney Stroh hopes that through restitution and community service hours, the community will understand that this type of activity will not be tolerated.
