John & Marga Ahrens will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on January 9 with a quiet dinner out with their children and grandchildren.
A little celebration will be held in their home with family and relatives afterwards.
They were married on January 9, 1954 in Germany in 1955 and came to the United States shortly afterwards. After residing in Lexington,IL they
made their home in Minonk and have lived here ever since. They have many friends and acquaintances in the area. Their 3
children live in the area, Arnold (& Juanita Strauch) Ahrens of Benson, IL, Elvira Brooks of Benson, IL, and Karen (& Kevin)
Ketchmark of Princeton, IL; and 3 grandchildren Angela Brooks of Cape Coral FL, John Ahrens of Benson, IL, and Brooke Ahrens
of Jacksonville, FL.
