Minonk Builders Supply

This building was the location for Minonk Builders Supply which was owned by G. H. Leffers. This picture was probably taken in the 1960's. Leffers sold heating equipment in this store and also was the office for his general contracting business. The building was located on the site now occupied by Minonk City Hall in the 600 block of Chestnut Street.

Originally, the building was one of the buildings used by Fred Simater for his chicken processing business Minonk Produce Company which was one of the largest chicken processing operations in the country at the beginning of the 20th Century.
