First Minonk High School

This is a picture of what is believed to be the first Minonk High School. The first high school was thought to be built in 1864. It was located at the site of the present high school at Fifth and Maple. It is not known if this is the first high school or the second high school building. This picture came from a postcard dated 1909. Another high school was built in 1902 and burnt down in 1936. It is assumed that the building pictured here was torn down in 1902 when the second high school was built.
