City park bandstand - 1940's

The bandstand shown here was built in the Westside Park in 1922 by the women of Minonk as a memorial to World War I veterans. It was torn down in 1997 after falling into a state of disrepair. Funds were collected to build a pavilion in 2004 in the park to preserve the War War I memorial. In 2005 a gazebo was built on the site of the old bandstand with donated funds.
