Doris M. Tweedt - April 14, 2002

The funeral of Doris M. Tweedt, 75, of 510 E. Eighth St., Minonk, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Minonk. The Rev. Craig Swenson will officiate. Burial will be in Minonk Township Cemetery, Minonk. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, El Paso, and for one hour before the service Thursday at the church.

She died at 6 p.m. Sunday (April 14, 2002) at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, El Paso.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church Expansion Fund, 318 W. Fourth St., Minonk, IL 61760; or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Mrs. Tweedt was born Feb. 28, 1927, at St. Joseph, Mich., a daughter of John F. Jr. and Marguerite Neubrand Rentz. She married Leo Eugene Tweedt Nov. 1, 1947, at Gardner. He survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Lynn (Ed) Rabinowe, Pleasant Hills, Calif.; and Nancy (Bill) Reiter, Minonk; one son, Jon (Mary Margaret) Tweedt, Springfield; seven grandchildren, Noel (John) McCue; Erik, Bret and Marsha Tweedt; and Emily, Geoff and Marc Reiter; and four stepgrandchildren, Jordan and Alexandra Rabinowe; and Greg and Stephanie Reiter.

Her parents preceded her in death.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Minonk. She was a longtime member of Tall Oaks Country Club, Toluca, and she enjoyed bowling and bowled in the ladies league for several years.
