Minonk High School Memorial 1919
for Veterans of World War 1


EDWARD J. HINRICHS

Edward J. Hinrichs attended the Minonk High School from 1908 to 1912, graduating with the class of 1912. He was inducted into the Military Service June 14, 1918. He was sent to North Kansas City, MO., to the Students Army Training Corps, remaining there for four months, doing clerical work. He was transferred to the Motor Transport Corps at Fort Bliss, El Paso, Texas, being stationed there up to the time of his discharge. He was promoted from private first-class, to sergeant. He was discharged March 12, 1919.

JOHN E. JANSSEN

John E. Janssen attended the Minonk High School for one year from 1908 to 1909. He was inducted into the service September 4, 1918, at Eureka, ILL. He was sent to Camp Grant. On September 27 he left there for Camp Hancock, Georgia. From there he was sent to Camp Johnson, Georgia. He was discharged from service January 15, 1919, at Camp Grant. John was in the Machine Gun Service.
