Edith Ann Barth and Bob Meierhofer Marry

Robert Meierhofer, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Meierhofer of this city, and Miss Edith Ann Barth, daughter of Mrs. Edd Barth of Route 1, Minonk, were united in Marriage at 2 o'clock, Sunday afternoon at St. Paul's Evangelical church, in this city. The Rev. Paul Buchmueller performed the ceremony.

The best man was James Meierhofer, brother of the bridegroom, and the bridesmaid was Miss Evelyn Barth, sister of the bride. Paul Meierhofer and Delbert Barth served as ushers.

Organ music for the ceremony was played by Edmona Ioerger, Carol Bachman sang "Because". The couple departed shortly after the ceremony on a motor trip to California. They expect to be gone about a month. Upon their return they will be at home in the new apartment, recently completed on the second floor of the E. H. Meierhofer home.

The young couple both served their country during the war, Mrs. Meierhofer being a Cadet nurse for 18 months, and the bridegroom being in service 37 months, of which he spent 28 months overseas.

The bride is a graduate of Minonk Community high school, and since her return to civilian life she has been an underwriter for the State Farm Mutual Insurance Co.

Bob is also a MCHS graduate. Since he has returned from service he has been associated with his father in the men's clothing business in this city.
