Week of January 4

Fieldcrest lost to Prairie Central, 72-48, in a Saturday game at the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Shootout at Shirk Center in Bloomington. After being down 34-32 at halftime, the Knights were outscored 20-2 in the last 6 minutes of the third quarter. Fieldcrest was led in scoring by Brett Brown with 19 points.
Fieldcrest girls beat Deer Creek-Mackinaw, 60-39, Monday night in a game at Mackinaw. Amber Pescitelli led the Knights with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Lindsey Kolb added 13 points and Kristin Ghiglieri had 10. Fieldcrest is now 10-6.

Fieldcrest was nosed out by El Paso from a last second shot by Brandon Duffy to give the Comets a 51-49 victory Tuesday night at Minonk. The Knights led 36-30 at halftime but shot only 19% in the second half as their record fell to 7-5. Jarrod Cook led the Knights in scoring with 17 points while Tyler Schoon had 10 points and Brett Brown had 9 points.

Tri-Point came back from a 28-16 haltime deficit to defeat Fieldcrest girls, 50-47, Thursday night at Minonk. Lindsey Kolb led the scoring for the Lady Knights with 19 points while Amber Pescitelli had 15 points and 14 rebounds. Fieldcrest is now 10-7.

Fieldcrest's third quarter rally gave them a 46-43 victory over Deer Creek-Mackinaw Friday night at Mackinaw. The Knights were led by the Tyler Schoon with 19 points. Brett Brown and Joshua Krone each had 10 points as Fieldcrest improved its record to 8-5.

Week of January 11

Fieldcrest girls defeated Lexington, 64-50, at Lexington Monday night. Lindsey Kolb and Amber Pescitelli each scored 22 points to lead the Knights to their eleventh victory.
Fieldcrest came from behind to beat Roanoke-Benson, 41-34, Tuesday night at Roanoke. Joshua Krone led the Knights with 11 points while Brett Brown added 8 points. The Knights are now 9-5.
Flanagan downed Fieldcrest girls, 66-58, Thursday night at Minonk. Lindsey Kolb was the scoring leader for the Knights with 25 points, including five 3-pointers, while Kristin Ghiglieri had 18 points. The Knights record is now 11-9.

Tri-Point made 12 free throws in the last quarter to defeat Fieldcrest, 54-50, Friday night in Minonk. Tyler Schoon led Fieldcrest in scoring with 16 points while Brett Brown added 11 points. The Knights are now 9-6.

Week of January 18

Fieldcrest was unable to hold a one point lead against undefeated Eureka as the Hornets defeated the Knights, 46-38, Tuesday night at Eureka. Joshua Krone led Fieldcrest (9-7) in scoring with 10 points while Tyler Schoon had 9 points and Brett Brown had 8 points.

Week of January 25

Fieldcrest withstood a last minute rally by Flanagan to defeat the Falcons, 56-53, at Minonk Friday night. The Knights were led by in scoring by Brett Brown and Joshua Krone who each had 12 points. Fieldcrest is now 10-7.

Week of February 1

Fieldcrest beat Woodland, 76-57, Monday night in a first round game of the Midstate Conference tournament at El Paso. Joshua Krone led the Knights with 20 points while Jarrod Cook added 16 points and had 13 rebounds.
Tremont edged out the Fieldcrest girls, 58-55, Monday night at Minonk. Tremont was led by Dakota Patton with 26 points. Amber Pescitelli led Fieldcrest with 19 points while Sara Fluech scored 12 points and Lindsey Kolb added 11.
Fieldcrest's free throw accuracy helped defeat El Paso, 43-34, in a second round game of the Midstate Conference Tournament at El Paso. The Knights sank all 13 free throw attempts in the defensive battle. Joshua Krone led Fieldcrest in scoring with 9 points while Jarrod Cook had 7 points with 12 rebounds and Tyler Schoon added 8 points.

Ridgeview eliminated Fieldcrest from the Midstate Conference Tournament championship game with a 42-36 victory over the Knights Friday night at El Paso. Fieldcrest shot only 36% from the field after leading 13-7 after the first quarter. Jarrod Cook had 16 points while Tyler Schoon had 12 points for the Knights.
Flanagan routed Fieldcrest, 71-52, in the third place game of the Midstate Conference Tournament Saturday night at El Paso. Jarrod Cook was the leading scorer for the Knights with 18 points as Fieldcrest's record is now 12-9.

Week of February 8

Fieldcrest girls drubbed Chenoa, 48-22, Monday night in the first game of the Flanagan Girls Basketball Regional. Amber Pescitelli led the Knights with 12 points. Sara Fluech had 8 points as Fieldcrest advances to the semi-finals against Eureka Wednesday night.
Fieldcrest defeated Lowpoint-Washburn, 50-46, Tuesday night at Minonk. Brett Brown led the Knights with 21 points and 11 rebounds while Tyler Shcoon had 16 points to improve the Knights' record to 14-9.
Tremont came from behind to defeat Fieldcrest, 51-44, Friday night at Tremont. Tyler Schoon was the top scorer for Fieldcrest with 25 points.

Week of February 15

Fieldcrest beat Midland, 61-50, Tuesday night at Varna. The Knights had a well balanced scoring attack led by Joshua Krone with 14 points. Both Tyler Schoon and Brett Brown had 11 points as the Knights improved their record to 15-10.
Fieldcrest East defeated Griggsville-Perry, 56-36, Tuesday night at Wenona to gain a berth in the finals of the Illinois Elementary School Association 8A boys state basketball tournament. Josh North was the leading scoring for East with 19 points while Jordan Krone had 17 points. Fieldcrest East (24-2) will play Effingham St. Anthony (25-1) in the state title game Thursday night at 7:15 p.m. at Wenona.
Fieldcrest East was defeated by Effingham St. Anthony, 38-34, Thursday night in the championship game of the Illinois Elementary School Association Class 8A Boys State Basketball Tournament at Wenona. Fieldcrest East ended its season with a 24-3 record.

Feildcrest downed Gridley, 54-44, Friday night at Minonk. Fieldcrest made most of their points from the 3 point range making 9 of 24 attempts. Tyler Schoon led the Knights in scoring with 17 points. Geoff Reiter had 15 points and Brett Brown had 13 points as the Knights go into regional play with a 16-10 record.

Week of February 22

Fieldcrest ended its season in a loss to Peoria Heights, 76-67, in the first game of the Class A Eureka Regional. The Knights' defense allowed a season high total of 76 points as they ended the season with a 16-11 record overall and 7-4 in the Midstate Conference. The Knights were led in scoring by Tyler Schoon with 23 points. Brett Brown and Jake Martin each added 12 points.

Week of March 21

Fieldcrest defeated Henry, 5-4, in the season opener at Minonk Tuesday. Josh Gerdes was the winning pitcher for the Knights.

Week of March 28

Fieldcrest defeated Peoria Christian, 12-0, in a game at Peoria Friday. Josh Gerdes hurled the Knights to victory allowing only 1 hit with 8 strike outs. Fieldcrest is 2-2 for the season.
Fieldcrest easily defeated Woodland, 10-3, at Woodland Monday. Kiel Melvin earned his first victory for the Knights while Geoff Reiter led the Knights with 3 hits. Fieldcrest is now 4-3.

Week of April 4

El Paso defeated Fieldcrest, 6-3, Monday on a 3 run homer by Jesse Smith in the fifth inning. Fieldcrest hurler Josh Gerdes suffered his first defeat and is now 3-1. Brett Brown and Keil Melvin each got 2 hits for the Knights. Fieldcrest is 4-8.

Week of October 3

Fieldcrest's attempt to overcome No. 2 state ranked Ridgeview fell short as the Mustangs outlasted the Knights 30-27. A last minute interception by Ridgeview on their 1 yard line kept the Knights from advancing toward a victory. Quarterback Adam Seggerman was 11 of 25 for 185 yards and four interceptions. Seggerman ran for one touchdown and threw 3 touchdown passes to account for Fieldcrest's scoring. The Knights are 5-2 for the season.

Week of October 10

Fieldcrest came roaring back in the second half to crush Tremont, 43-13, Friday night at Tremont to secure an automatic berth in the playoffs. The Knights were led by Jake Martin who ran for 3 touchdowns and by quarterback Adam Seggerman who passed for 2 td's. Joe Durre scored the other touchdown on a 1 yard run as Fieldcrest improved its record to 6-2.

Week of October 17

Fieldcrest finished its regular season with a smashing victory over Tri-Point, 49-15, at Cullom Friday night. The Knights were led by quarterback Adam Seggerman who threw for 4 touchowns and 248 yards. Brandon Sanders caught 3 td passes while Zach Kirkpatrick caught one from Seggerman and one from Kurt Wilson. The Knights finished with a 7-2 record and start the playoffs next week.

Week of October 24

Fieldcrest lost the first game in the playoffs to Hall of Spring Valley, 34-7, at Spring Valley. The Knights committed 7 turnovers including 3 interceptions against quarterback Adam Seggerman. The high winds shut down Fieldcrest's passing game as Hall ground out 289 of its 351 yards total offensive yards from its running game. Kevin Orabutt ran two yards for Fieldcrest's only touchdown.

Week of November 14

Fieldcrest girls opened their season with a 40-34 home victory over Putnam County. Samantha Hall led the Knights with 15 points while Nicole Ropp had 13 points and Sara Fluech added 7 points. Kayla Allen was the leading rebounder with 8 grabs.

Week of November 21

Tremont downed Fieldcrest girls Monday night, 39-31. Fieldcrest was led by Kristen Ragusa's nine points and Sara Fluech's eight.

Week of November 28

Fieldcrest topped Dwight, 51-38, at the Dwight Thanksgiving Tournament Saturday night. Kody Russell led the Knights in scoring with 20 points. Michael Modro added 11 points and Joshua Krone had 10 points.
Fieldcrest overpowered Woodland, 71 - 36, Friday night at Minonk. Jarrod Cook led the Knights with 26 points and 8 rebounds. Joshua Krone had 13 points and Jake Martin had 5 rebounds, 4 steals and 5 assists. Fieldcrest is now 4-1 and 1-1 in the conference.
Fieldcrest girls squeaked by Midland, 45-44, Saturday night at Minonk. Nicole Ropp led the Lady Knights with 20 points, including four 3 pointers. Sara Fluech added 12 points and had 13 rebounds as Fieldcrest upped its record to 4-2.

Week of December 5

Ridgeview easily handled Fieldcrest girls with a 50-33 win over the Knights at Minonk Monday night. Sara Fluech was the top scorer for Fieldcrest wtih 11 points and also had 12 rebounds. Fieldcrest is now 4-3.
Fieldcrest downed Heyworth, 71-46, Tuesday night at Heyworth. Jarrod Cook led the Knights with 16 points. Fieldcrest is now 5-1.
El Paso defeated Fieldcrest girls, 45-26, Thursday night at El Paso. The Knights are now 4-4 for the season.

Fieldcrest girls defeated Manteno, 43-28, Saturday, at the Lady Comet Classic at Braidwood. Sara Fluech had 16 points and 20 rebounds. Kristen Ragusa had 11 points and Samantha Hall had seven points. Earlier, the Lady Knights lost to Wilmington, 59-46. Nicole Ropp was the leading scorer for the Knights with 14 points.

Week of December 12

Fieldcrest's strong 4th quarter led them to a 46-36 victory over Midland, Wednesday in the first game of the Colmone Classic at Spring Valley. Joshua Krone led the Knights with 16 points while Michael Modro had 12 points. Fieldcrest meets Hall of Spring Valley tonight in the semifinals.
Fieldcrest beat Kewanee Wethersfield, 63-49, to win 3rd place in the Colmone Classic at Spring Valley Friday night. Jarrod Cook led the Knights with 18 points. Kody Russell had 13 points, Joshua Krone 11 points and Jake Martin 9 points to round out the balanced scoring. Fieldcrest lost to Hall of Spring Valley, 71-67, in the semifinals. Joshua Krone and Michael Modro were named to the all-tournament team.
