Coalminer Stanley Matuszewicz - 1900

This photo of Stanley Matuszewicz was taken on the front porch of his home in his miner's clothes. He came from Poland in 1889 and settled in Minonk with his wife and 5 children. One of his sons, Ladis, is pictured in another photograph on this website. The picture was sent to us by Marilyn Lanigan of South Holland, IL who is a great granddaughter of Stanley Matuszewicz. She says that most of her great grandfather's family now live in the Chicago area.
