Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps to visit Minonk
On Wednesday, June 27th the Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps based out of Toledo, OH will be in Minonk again to rehearse their summer show for DCI competitions throughout the country. They will be out at the football field in the afternoon running sectionals, drill and their show. Anyone is welcome to come out to listen and watch. It's always a treat to have a world-class drum corps come to our community!

Fieldcrest Marching Knights hold car wash Saturday
Saturday, June 16 from 10AM until 2PM the FIELDCREST MARCHING KNIGHTS will be holding a car wash in the Dollar General parking lot in Minonk. The Knights will wash your car, truck, motorcycle, etc. for a donation.Money raised at this event helps to fund needed supplies and activities during the year. Also, if you have wanted to help the Knights by helping to sponsor their new banner but haven't had time, they will gladly accept those donations at the same time.

On the issue of Betty and Vern Barth's water bill that was brought up before the council not once - but THREE times, not one of you had any discussion on the matter or even brought it up for a vote, you all just sat there. Happy Birthday Wishes
Dave,I was looking at the Minonk Talk website this morning and noted that one of the events for today is your birthday. Betty and I extend our best wishes to you for a very happy birthday, many more and a wonderful year ahead. I recently watched the video of the demolition of the buildings that were destroyed by the fire last year and in a way it was sad for me because all of the buildings had special memories for me. I have also been looking more in depth at various photos, newspaper articles, etc. on the site and I feel you have accomplished a great deal and we think it is wonderful that you place so much time and dedication to the work you do.
