Minonk Town Wide garage sale this weekend

Everyone:

Minonk's Town Wide Garage Sale is this Saturday, April 27 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. There are many, many items listed on the map. Thanks to all who participated and good luck with your sales.

Thanks

Donate Life America

Today, April 19, is National Blue & Green Day, a day intended to bring attention to organ and tissue donation. Our son, Adam Meils Foote, became an organ and tissue donor on March 22, 2005. All but his heart was viable and successfully transplanted - today his many recipients flourish. He expressed an interest in becoming a registered donor when he was seven years old. I encourage all to go to DonateLife.net to learn about donation and make the pledge. It's a legal contract that only you can opt out of.
Thank you,

Jennifer Young-Foote

4th of July Meeting

There will be a 4th of July meeting April 18, 7 p.m. At Minonk City Hall. Everyone welcome.

Remember to Vote!

Minonk Township has been fortunate to have Jim Meyer fill the role of Township Supervisor for many years; Jim has decided not to seek re-election. The citizens are equally fortunate to have a qualified candidate in Pat Copp ready and willing to fill the role.

After a 30 year career at Caterpillar Inc., Pat retired and has now begun his journey to fill the role as Supervisor. Pat has educated himself in all aspects of the role, including applicable law. Understanding importance of communication, Pat has met with local officials and he looks forward to strengthening the relationship between the Township and City of Minonk, Fieldcrest School District and County.

Pat is not a politician and has no political ties, Pat is a community servant. On any given day Pat can be observed walking in our parks clearing them of litter. Many of you know Pat from his extensive work volunteering with the Minonk 4th of July Committee. For over ten years, Pat has led not only certain fundraising efforts, but has ensured that the fireworks display is viewed and handled in a safe manner.

Like his mother, Mae Copp, who served the Township for several terms, Pat will serve with no hidden agenda. Pat is a conservative individual who will spend tax dollars wisely, while ensuring the needs of the Township are met.

Please join me on Tuesday and cast a vote for Pat Copp, Minonk Township Supervisor.
