Tickets Available for 8th Annual St. Jude Bingo Night

Tickets are now available for our 8th Annual St. Jude Bingo Night- Saturday March 9th in Rutland! Tickets may be purchased at Studio 214 in Minonk, or by calling/ messaging Sonja Frei at (309) 287-2279, or Beth Hakes at (309) 669-6354. Don't miss this fun event for a wonderful cause! I cannot say thank you enough to everyone who donated money or just shared the link to the GoFundMe page to spread the word about it. Without all of you, getting the eSight glasses was not a reality to me it was just a dream, but just in 24 hours of the GoFundMe page being up we hit the amount needed for the glasses. Now getting the eSight glasses is a reality to me. All of you have changed my life for the better now because these glasses are going to help me out so much in the upcoming future. Last year I was able to try the eSight glasses out, with them on I was able to see 20/20 for the first time in my life. I was able to see street signs, billboards and anything I couldn't see before, I was able to see with them on. These glasses will help me out so much in school from being able to see what my teacher is writing on the board to being able to read my textbooks. I'm very thankful that I grew up in a great community that came together to help me get these glasses again, I can't thank you enough to everyone involved.

Minonk Township Cemetery Decorations Reminder

I would like to remind everyone that beginning March 1st ALL decorations will be removed from the Minonk Township Cemetery and should not be replaced until May 1st. If there is anything you do not want discarded it needs to be removed before March 1st. The following is a great link to cemetery rules and regulations. Cemetery Information.

Shoe Drive

St Paul's UCC in Minonk is sponsoring a shoe drive in honor of our Sequential celebration. We will be gathering gently used shoes to raise funds for the Minonk Township Food Pantry and the Santa's Helper's Project. The shoe drive will be held February 15 through April 15, 2019. Current drop off points include:

St Paul's Church
Fieldcrest Primary and High School
Minonk Bank
Country Florist
ElPaso IGA
Metamora Library

THANK YOU!!! In less than 24 hours after the Go Fund Me page started on Sunday, February 3rd, 2019 Lance will now be able to purchase the Esight glasses. For the 1st time in 21 years Lance will be able to read the street signs that are a block away. He will be able to recognize faces instead of just going by the person's voice. Lance will be able to read a book without having to inlarge the print or use his magnifying glass. He will be able to read the whiteboard at college now instead of using his cell phone to take a picture then enlarge it. None of this would be possible if not for all of the AMAZING PEOPLE and a TREMENDOUS COMMUNITY and an OUTSTANDING FIELDCREST FOOTBALL ORGANIZATION. Lance will now be able to see and do things that almost all of us take for granted. Just saying THANK YOU to everyone seems so small for what all of you have done. THANK YOU!!!?
