Obituary: James Michael Weiland, 73 - April 23, 2020
James Michael Weiland 73, of Rutland passed away on April 23, 2020 at his residence. He was born on January 25, 1947 in Streator the son of Raphael and Mary (Jacobs) Weiland. He married Deborah Quiram on October 30, 1971 in Rutland.

James is survived by his wife, Deborah Weiland of Rutland; two sons, Brent (Kristin) Weiland of Minonk, Brian Weiland of Bloomington; four grandchildren, Jayda, Alek, Josie, Cecelia; one brother, Randy (Carol) Weiland of Minonk and one sister, Kathy (Craig) Greskoviak of Dana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Lynda and one daughter Nicole.

James proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After the war he worked for Caterpillar at the Mossville plant for 30 years.

He was a member of the Rutland American Legion Post # 1121.

Due to Covid-19 a private family burial will take place on April 29, 2020 at Rutland Cemetery. Ed Sinclair will officiate the service. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk.
