This photo of students at the Spires Elementary School was taken in 1917. The country school was located 1 mile south and 4 miles east of Minonk. The only students that can be identified are Alfred Baumann at the furthest right in the first row, Florence Baumann (Uphoff) the second from the left in the second row, and Adalin Baumann on the left in the third row.
