The Minonk Business Assoc. is making plans for the
Parade of Lights which will be Sat. Dec. 3rd at 6:30 p.m. Businesses and the city crew are busy putting up
holiday decorations. The businesses will be open during the day and after
the parade. There will be an Alzheimer's Memory Walk Bake sale
at 1:00 p.m. at Pop's. Also at Pop's starting at 3:00,
The 3rd Annual Christmas Shop & Stop will be at
Pop's upstairs. Some of the items available will be Home
Interior, Pampered Chef, Longenberger, Mary Kay and others. Along with these will
be craft booths. Call Betty Barth at 309-432-2168 if you are
interested in having a booth.
Stop at the Businesses for treats and to make
Holiday purchases. Restuarants and Bars will be open to serve the
crowd before and after the parade.
Mr & Mrs Santa Claus will be in the parade and
will meet the children after the parade at the City Hall. Each child will
recieve a bag of goodies. Bring your cameras for pictures. There will be barrel train rides after the parade
in front of Pop's. Come and join us as we open the Holiday Season with
the Minonk 22nd Annual Parade of lights. JOIN IN THE
FUN & FELLOWSHIP.
All parade entries should be at the Fieldcrest H.S.
parking lot by 5:45 p.m. Please enter in the east gate on Mary
