MidState Stars Soccer lose 12-5

The MidState Stars Soccer Club began their season at the Decatur Indoor Sports Center with their first loss. The score of 12 - 5 against Soccer Odyssey, a club team from Meridan High School, by no means explains the fantastic performance that the MidState Stars actually achieved. Both teams traded goals throughout the first half, ending in a tie of  5  - 5 after 24 minutes. With many opportunities at rattling the net in the second half, the Stars were unable to capitalize as the clock ran down

Hard fought goals by Bryan Andrews (2) and Jacob Nunez (1) from El Paso, and Lawrence Knapp from Minonk (1), were the most goals scored in a game by the newly-formed MidState Stars Soccer Club. Their opponents added (1) goal in the Stars favor due to the pressure offense that truly controlled most of the game.

This week's practice will definitely be focused on our game Sunday November 26th against the State Farm club team from Decatur St. Teresa.
