Program:
Shall We Gather - Civil War Era Music and Beyond
Jacqueline
Schwab is a folk and classical improvisational pianist who, among her
many accomplishments, has played on a number of Ken Burns' television
documentaries. "Jacqueline Schwab brings more feeling and intensity to
music than anyone I know," Burns has noted. Hear her stirring
renditions of American Civil War era classics, and learn their stories
when Schwab appears in Peoria on November 14.
Jacqueline’s appearance in Peoria is jointly sponsored by the UU Church Music Series and the Chillicothe
Public Library.
“Shall We Gather” is also part of the Chillicothe Library’s
New Harmonies program
series. The Smithsonian Institution New Harmonies
exhibit will be on display at the Chillicothe Library from December 11, 2010 until January 23, 2011.
