SPC Rachel Stanley has been deployed to Iraq under Operation Iraqi Freedom.  This is Rachel's second deployment since the 911 attacks.  She is presently in Kuwait.  Her Army Reserves home base is in Canton but this summer she received orders transferring her to the 322nd Maintenance Company in Minnesota to fill a need.  She was at Ft. McCoy, Wisconsin for two months training before leaving October 20th.

 Rachel attended MDR grade school and then later Fieldcrest High before graduating from Normal Community.  Along with the reserves, Rachel is also a part-time student at Heartland Community College and employed full-time at State Farm.  Her mother is Bobbie Evans of Minonk.  Rachel is currently able to stay in close contact through email.  Anyone who would like that address can contact Bobbie at City Hall.
