Minonk held its first Pumpkin Patch festival at Sutton's Park on Sunday. From the large turnout it appears that this may be a festival to hold on an annual basis. Kids games were held, vendors sold wares from their stands, food was served from a food tent and pumpkins were everywhere.
The Miss Pumpkin Pageant raised $2558.25 for the Fourth of July committee which put on the event. The weather was great for October being in the lower 80's and sunny. All in all it was a fun day in the park.
That old favorite, the sack race, was part of the kid games.
