Life Line Screening coming to Minonk Oct. 1st

Life Line Screening is coming to Minonk on Monday, October 1, at Minonk City Hall.  Stroke has left over 1 million Americans with disabilities; many can no longer perform daily tasks, such as walking or bathing, without help. Life Line Screening tests can help detect conditions that could lead to a stroke and other devastating diseases.

The following Life Line Screening tests are available.

1. Stroke Screening/Carotid Artery $45
Scans the carotid artery for buildup of fatty plaque, the #1 cause of stroke.

2. Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening $45
Screens for the existence of an aneurysm (enlargement) in the abdominal aorta that could lead to a ruptured aortic artery.

3. Peripheral Arterial Disease Screening $45
Screens for peripheral arterial disease in the lower extremities, which is linked to coronary artery disease.

4. Osteoporosis Screening $35
Ultrasound screen for abnormal bone mass density in men and women.
