Minonk native Steve Ford twice made a hole in one in the same round of golf at the Evergreen Golf Course in Grand Haven, MI., this past week.   Ford first made an ace on the112 yard  Par 3 6th hole with a used Taylor 9 iron on the 18 hole executive golf course.  Then he repeated the feat on the 94 yard par 3 15th hole with a 60 degree Taylor lob wedge.  A Titlest Pro VI ball was used on both holes.

The chances of making 2 hole in ones in the same round of golf for an amateur golfer is roughly 67 million to 1.  Steve, a 1969 MDR graduate, plays golf for fun once or twice a week.  He works for J. H. Campbell Power Plant in Holland, MI.
