Former Lakeland College (Wisc) basketball coach and athletic director Duane "Moose" Woltzen has been named a 2006 Distinguished Service Award Receipient by the United States Sports Academy.

Woltzen, a 1951 Minonk High School graduate, was among 10 winners named in a group that included former college and pro quarterback Archie Manning, former Olympian Edwin Moses, and WNBA President Donna Orender.

Woltzen is the son of Mrs. Hazel Woltzen of Minonk.
