After 17 and 1/2 years in business Trinkets and Treasures, located at 560 Chestnut Street in Minonk, will be going out of business as of September 30. Owner Betty Kleven said she will be leasing the building to Green Tree Pharmacy which will be expanding its operations into the building which is located directory south of Green Tree Pharmacy. Green Tree plans to install work cubicles in the building to accommodate its need for more space.
Betty said she opened Trinkets and Treasures on February 1, 1993 and has enjoyed being in business over the years. All items in the store will be marked down for sale prior to closing on September 30. The furniture including shelves and display cabinets will also be on sale.
Among the many items for sale are Precious Moments porcelain figurines, Willow Tree angles, Cherished Teddies, and greeting cards.
