It is with great excitement that we invite everyone to participate in a very special event. The Minonk Business Association is sponsoring a 34' LED lighted Christmas tree to be displayed during the Holiday Season and the Annual Christmas parade..

The cost of the project is about $ 4000.00 and the Minonk Business Association will be initiating a memorial fund to help support the building of our lighted tree which will be located at the corner of Chestnut and Fifth (next to Grosenbach's Grocer).

The Minonk Business Association will be planning a ceremonial lighting of the Christmas tree the week before the Christmas parade along with Carolers and announcement of those contributions "in Memory" of loved ones.

If you would like to make a donation to the Memorial Fund in Memory of a Loved One, you may drop off a check payable to the Minonk Business Association at Meyer-Jochums Insurance Agency, Fieldcrest Dental office or the Minonk Community Bank.

Ed and Sherry Shirley of Shirley's Custom Lights and Signs will be building the Christmas tree. Shirley's Custom Light and Signs bring several of their floats for the annual Christmas parade.

The Minonk Business Association is up to 20 members and had a very successful "Taste of Minonk' in June. The tree will be shining brightly during the Holiday season. Other coming events are the August 17, PUMP Trac Demo and September 24 will be the Octoberfest of Minonk.
