4th of July Chicken Dinner
The 4th of July Committee and St. Paul's UCC will be co-hosting this year's chicken dinner from 11:30-1:30 at West Side Park following the parade. Tickets are $6.50 a person and can be purchased at Pop's Sweet Shoppe or from a 4th of July Committee member. Dinners include chicken, fries, cole slaw, drink and dessert. Carryouts will be available. There are only 400 tickets, so it is recommended that you purchase your tickets in advance.
American Girl Give Away
You can purchase raffle tickets to win an American Girl Doll. Tickets are $1 a piece or 6 for $5. Tickets can be purchased at Pops or A Stylish Affair. Proceeds go to support our great fireworks display.
Mini King and Queen
You can submit names for the Mini King and Queen at Alpha Community Bank, Visions Video and Pop’s Sweet Shop the rest of this week and all of next. The children should be between the ages of 4-7. Please submit only 1 name per child.
4th of July Schedule of Events
There are many, many events this year and hope that the community enjoys them. The schedule of events is listed on this
website. The committee is working very hard and can really could use more help. If anyone wishes to assist with the many events that we have, we can use you. Fourth of July Chairman Cathy McKay said that she honestly feels that the group of volunteers, many of whom have been on this committee for years, are getting tired of running the event and without new volunteers joining the group, many of the events that are listed might not be able to continue. She is asking people to let her know if they would be willing to join the 4th of July Committee.
