Minonk native has star grandson on baseball team

Minonk native and proud grandfather Gerry Schmidt of North Aurora sends us an article about his grandson Austin Schmidt who has a 4-0 record as a pitcher for the Lakeview, MN high school baseball team.
Austin is the son of Eric and Sheri Schmidt of Lake Odessa, Mi. and will graduate from Lakeview High School on May 25th. He spent his sophomore and junior year behind the plate as the starting catcher. This year he has been used as a starting and relief pitcher in addition to catching some games. Eric is the son of Judy Morrow Schmidt of Milwaukee and Gerry and Sandy Schmidt of North Aurora, Il.
