Local Kindergartner Cole Jones is starting off racing season this year with wins already. Cole has been back in the driver seat for two weeks at his home track located in Broadwell, Illinois outside of Lincoln and has won his 4 heat races and 3 features. He will be racing this Saturday at the Re-Grand Opening of the ALQMA race track. His mom is a board member this year at the track and his dad and grandfather are actively involved in the track in which has been redone this last year. The track walls were demolished after the last season and replaced with soft sided walls and new dirt has been brought in for the kids to race on. So this weekend after their Spring Arrive & Drive event they will be having a ribbon cutting ceremony and the young drivers will be lining the track and doing a parade lap with American flags in tow. Cole is very excited for this weekend and hopes to pick up another win.

Cole will be doing all the regionals this summer two which are at his home track in Broadwell, two at Granite City by St. Louis and one in Taylorville. He will also race at the USAC National level this year first at Atco, New Jersey in June, a National at home in Broadwell, and then at Eldora in Rossburg, Ohio with the USAC 4 crown.

If you ever have the chance to come down to the Broadwell track to cheer Cole on it is a very fun time to watch these kids race! Check out Cole Jones Racing on facebook for his schedule.
