Joshua Olsen has been hired as Fieldcrest superintendent to replace the retiring Randy Vincent.. Fieldcrest Board of Education president Joe Kirkpatrick said Mr. Olsen was the best candidate for the job and will start his duties on July 1, 2010.
Mr. Olsen is currently assistant superintendent at the McLean County Regional Office of Education. He previously has served as principal at Ridgeview and Anawan school districts. He has an MS in Educaton from Illinois State University and is currently working on his doctorate at ISU.
He has been given a 3 year contract at a salary of $100,000 per year. Mr. Olsen is married with two children and is planning to move to the Fieldcrest school district as soon as possible. His wife Cora is a 3rd
grade teacher at Northpoint elementary in Unit 5.
