“Let’s  Go To The Movies” is the theme for the Village-Aires spring show.  There will be two performances:  one will be Saturday, May 2 at 7 p.m. and the other one will be Sunday, May 3 at 3 p.m.  Both concerts will take place at the Fieldcrest H. S. Gym in Minonk, IL.  Tickets are $5 a person when purchased from a member ahead of time and $6 at the door.

 The songs will center around various movies.  There will be songs from movies about cities and places such as:  “New York, New York,” “Chattanooga Choo Choo,” “I Left My Heart in San Francisco,” and “And All That Jazz,” from “Chicago.”

 Several songs will come from movie musicals such as “Tonight” from “West Side Story”, “Farmer Tan” from “Pump Boys and Dinettes”, and “Ease on Down the Road” from “The Wiz.”   Everyone enjoys Disney songs such as “Lion Sleeps Tonight,” “Spoonful of Sugar,” “A Whole New World,” and “Under the Sea.”

 The show will end on a patriotic theme with “In the Mood,”  “What a Wonderful World,” and “Stars and Stripes Forever.”  When you go to the movies, there are commercials.  Well, you will not want to miss our commercials or the popcorn.
