Villageaires Spring Show set for April 30- May 1

There will be something for everyone in the Village-Aires Spring Show. The performances will be Saturday, April 30 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, May 1 at 3 p.m. Both performances will take place in the Fieldcrest High School Gym.

The program will have show tunes, country music, songs about friends and neighbors, pop music and gospel songs. The kids will sing "Won't You Be My Neighbor." The women will sing "Everything's Alright" from Jesus Christ, Superstar. Another show tune will be "Music of the Night" from Phantom of the Opera.

You won't want to miss the jug band perform as the men sing "Thank God, I'm a Country Boy." John Denver's' "Take Me Home Country Roads" will be performed by the entire cast. Pop songs will include: "All I Have to Do Is Dream" and "Your Mama Don't Dance." "Old Time Religion" and "Angels Among Us" will be part of the gospel songs that are sung.

Members of the Village-Aires are: Leah Bown, Shelly Butler, Katy Carlson, Teresa Cirks, Pam Gansch-Boythe, Dawn Geringer, Loretta Hunt, Beverly Meyer, Shirley Missey, Rebecca Oltman, Nancy Redenius, Debby Cargill, Sue Coons, Pam Flohr, Joan Jochums, Donna Leonard, Lana McCulley, Marylu Pille, Kelly Seggerman, Howard Harms, Jay Hurd, Jack Jochums, Dick Leonard, George Hunt, Joel Jochums, Jim Meyer, Don Oesch, John Oncken, Ron Redenius, and Jerry Welch. The Village-Aires chorus is under the direction of Elaine Cunningham. Jack Jochums is program manager and Marylu Pille is in charge of choreography.
