Village-Aires announce Patron Circle

The Village-Aires Community Choir was founded in 1967 and has been
entertaining people in Minonk and the surrounding area for 39 years. During
this time, the volunteer group has given a great deal of enjoyment to
many and has given back to the community in the form of donations to
various charitable events and to the school with the purchase of
equipment that is shared with the drama department. The not-for-profit choir has tried to conscientiously be good citizens within the community, performing at nursing
homes after each show and singing for many special events.
The choir has found that, just like other prices keep rising, the cost of putting on shows twice a year has also increased. Since it is a non-profit organization, that means that the cost of costuming, staging, and equipment has
also become more problematic. This year
the group has found itself in need of a new keyboard as well as some microphones. For
this reason, the Village-Aires would like to invite community members
to become members of their new "Patrons’ Circle" by donating to the
staging fund for future shows. Any amount will be appreciated. Persons donating $100.00 or more will be entitled to special seating at each of the shows for the year of the donation.
Anyone wishing to become Patrons' Circle members may send donations to Elaine Cunningham, 806 Maple Ave., Minonk, IL 61760. Checks should be made payable to The Village-Aires. Please include your name, address, and phone number. You can also download a donation form by clicking here.
In order for Patrons’ Circle names to be printed in the Spring Show program, donations must be received by April 15. Donations after that date will be recognized in the Fall Show program.
The Village-Aires’ Spring Show, "Lovin' the 70's," will be April 22 at
7:00 p.m. and April 23 at 3:00 p.m. in the Fieldcrest High School Gym. Tickets are available in advance from members of the choir or at the door.
