With Prom season approaching, the Woodford County Citizens Against Substance Abuse (CASA) is hosting an event entitled A Time to Talk: Underage and Binge Drinking in our Community. Jill Hageman, the event coordinator from the Woodford County Health Department states, “We want to provide the community a venue to discuss local underage drinking issues and unite community efforts to make a positive change.” Several local professionals have been invited to speak on the topic, followed by an audience discussion. “We have designed the meeting to provide plenty of time to talk to each other, our goal is to talk with the community about underage drinking, not talk to them” Hageman adds.
