We’re Gonna Rock it Tonight!
Fieldcrest High School Drama Department will be presenting West Side Story March 18th, 19th & 20th.
From the first note to the final breath, West Side Story soars as the greatest love story of all time, set in Manhattan in the 1950s, chronicles the war between two teenage gangs – the "local" Jets, led by wisecracking Riff, and the Puerto Rican Sharks, led by the suave and intense Bernardo. Tensions explode when Bernardo's sister Maria falls for Tony, Riff's best friend, and past leader of the Jets. Known as Broadway's first musical tragedy, WEST SIDE STORY has one of Broadway's most memorable scores, including such standards as Somewhere, Tonight, I Feel Pretty and Maria; and contains 12 dynamic production numbers.
WEST SIDE STORY is written by three theatrical luminaries: two-time Tony Award-winner Arthur Laurents (book) and multiple Tony and Grammy Award winners Leonard Bernstein (music) and Stephen Sondheim (lyrics) in his Broadway debut.
The performance schedule for WEST SIDE STORY is as follows:
Friday at 7:00pm
Saturdays at 7:00pm
Sunday at 2:00pm and 6:00pm
All tickets are $5 and will be available at the door. For more information call FHS at 309-432-2529
