AARP Driver Safety Course at Filger Library

Those who are interested in saving money. Those who want to help save lives by become a safer driver. Save this date! An AARP Driver Safety Course will be held Wednesday and Thursday, April 19th and 20th of 2017 at the Filger Library, 261 E. 5th Street, Minonk, IL.

The 8 hour course will meet for 4 hours each day from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Those who complete the full eight hours will receive a certificate that when presented to your insurance agent will result in a discount on your car insurance for the next 3 years.

Subjects to be covered will include changes to traffic laws in Illinois; changes to the roads we travel; road signage; changes to the cars we drive; changes in our driving habits and ability and how to adapt to those changes.

Call the Library at 309-432-2929 to make a reservation (there is limited seating). A fee to cover the cost of materials will be collected when you arrive: $15.00 for AARP members or $20.00 if you aren't a member of AARP. (Checks should be made out to AARP).
