Bethany Lutheran Church , 302 North Birch Street in Wenona will host the Midland Lutheran College Choir when they present a concert at the church on March 23 at 7 PM.  The concert is free and open to the public.

The Choir is comprised of students from all across the country, with a wide variety of academic majors.  What they share in common is their passion for music.  Their a cappella choral style concentrates on singers blending their voices for maximum balance, tonal smoothness and harmony.  Pastor Craig Swenson, a former Midland Choir member will join them when they perform “Beautiful Savior”.

James Elsberry, Assistant Professor of Music, has been directing the choir since 1976.  He is known throughout the Midwest as a composer, arranger and musical theatre director. In 2005, he was inducted into the Nebraska Music Educators Association Hall of Fame.

Midland, located in Fremont, Nebraska, is a four-year, liberal arts and sciences college affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
