Fieldcrest receives $1,101,170.84 in Stimulus Money

Fieldcrest School District received $1,101,170.84 from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act according to an article in the Peoria Journal Star web site at

Over 75% of the stimulus money awarded to Woodford County was for education, the other two categories being Transportation and Energy and Environment. A complete list of the stimulus money awarded to Woodford County can be viewed at http://www.recovery.illinois.gov/ByCounty.aspx?County=102. A significant portion of the money was to replace funds that were supposed to be paid by the state's general assistance program.
