Local girl donates hair locks

7 year old Alayna Fuchs had her hair cut by her Aunt Audrey to donate to Locks of Love. Locks of Love is a non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. The picture shows her new hairstyle as well as the hair that will be donated.

Alayna, so many children at school came up to me and told me about you getting your hair cut for Locks of Love. I think it takes a special person to do this to help other kids out. You are such a sweet and caring person.

Alayna, your sweet spirit shines in your eyes with short hair just as it did when your hair was long. Some child will be very happy to receive the hair you had cut off. Bless your heart!

Alayna, I'm proud of you. The people at St. Paul's UCC are proud of you, too. Your gift will help some other little girl feel better about herself.

That is awesome that Alayna did that. It shows that there is hope for the future. My wife also donates her Red hair to Locks of Love. I would also do it, except, I do not have any hair. Everyone should take note from Alayna Fuchs, no matter your age, you can make a difference.

What a joy kids are, it is hard for me to understand how some folks can abuse them. raise them with love and they will become caring parents.

Alayna, you not only make your family proud- but you make your teachers, friends and community proud. Bless your sweet, generous heart. You are a great example to all in Minonk!
