Former Minonk resident Jennifer Young and her husband Steve Foote have established a donor program in memory of their son Adam who became a donor upon his death in March 2005. The program, Adam Meils Foote - Remembered for Life, was sponsored by many generous memorials given in his name.
Jennifer has accepted an invitation to serve on the Washington Regional Transplant Consortium's Donor Family Council, a minimum two year voluntary position that is made up of donor family members who advise WRTC on the various issues affecting donor families in the donation process and grieving. Another beneficial aspect of the project is that it has spurred other donor transplant organizations across the nation, to initiate a similar program.
