The Fieldcrest Knights extended their undefeated record to 19 - 0 with a convincing 59 -38 win over the Leroy Panthers at Shirk Stadium in Bloomington Saturday night to win the McLean County Tournament for the second year in a row. The Knights' aggressive defensive kept Leroy from formulating any kind of offensive attack. Leroy was also hampered by the lost of it point guard Ethan Bruning in the first quarter to an ankle injury. Fieldcrest's excellent team work and balanced scoring were again instrumental in their success so far this season.
Nathan Ropp led the Knights with 20 points while Taylor Baxter had 12 point and surpassed a career 1,000 points for Fieldcrest. Kaleb Garber added 10 points.
The Knights are ranked No. 4 in Class 2A.
