The Fieldcrest High
School Dance Team will be hosting an IHSA Dance Invitational on Saturday,
January 14th at the High School in Minonk. Dance teams from over twenty
schools throughout the state of Illinois will be competing. The competition will begin at 9AM with our very own, Miss
Kierstin Durst singing the "Star Spangled Banner". The Fieldcrest Varsity Team will be competing at 9:21AM and
10:45AM with 1A Awards around 11AM, Then 2A and 3A competition will follow with
the day ending around 1PM..
This year is the 5th
year hosting an IHSA competition at Fieldcrest High School in Minonk. The FHS
Varsity dance team has advanced to the IHSA State Finals at Bloomington
Coliseum for the last four years. Admission price is set at $5.00 for general
admission and $4.00 for students (k-12th) & Senior Citizens.
Any child who attended the 2016 Dance Clinic and wears their light blue
Powerpuff shirt to the competition is admitted for free. Concessions will be
available all day, Avanti's gondolas, walking tacos and much more will be
available for your dining pleasure.
